After completing our Preaching Conference in Orlando, Florida this February 2019 I visited my friends the Wendel’s in Jacksonville for four days. My friend David’s wife, Susan encouraged me to bring the print of Evening Delight with us into St. Augustine during this time and we visited a number of galleries and on the first day I was lucky enough to meet Victoria Golden the owner of two galleries listed on this website.
She lived my work and said yes she would take me on. It was and still is a moment that makes me want to punch myself that on the first day this happened! Still shaking my head actually! So, Tranquility? Well, during this stay the Wendel’s woke me up to walk JAX beach at sunrise and I took a number of photos in my semi wakeful moments (I am not a morning person and need a gallon of high octane coffee to wake me up!).
It was a beautiful morning with the ocean mist hanging over the waters and popcorn clouds in their pink, and purple grey tones hiding the blue sky and the the sun trying to poke through. Truly a tranquil and beautiful scene. I’m in the process of sketching out a few others of this area to do in the months ahead and I want to visit the coastlines of Florida more as it is amazing place with so much to see!
